The President of the Republic of Cyprus visited our Lab

During his visit at the UCY Medical School for the inauguration of the Siakolas Educational Centre for Clinical Medicine, the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Nikos Anastasiades, visited our Lab and received a quick tour by Dr Dietis.
The President was guided through the Lab's facilities, had the chance to talk to undergrad Medical students and took a look through a light microscope! Dr Dietis introduced the President to the research aims of the Lab and highlighted the alignment of the Lab's work with the Republic's set priority of drug research & development, as expressed in the Smart Specialisation Strategy. During his visit in our Lab, the President was accompanied by the Dean of the Medical School, the Rector of UCY and other state & university officials. |
