Our Lab is proud to collaborate with the Bioinformatics Group at the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING), with the aim to work together on drug repurposing projects for neuroactive drugs.
The Bioinfo Group was established in 2016 at CING by an ERA grant with the aim to provide comprehensive analysis on large biological datasets and is supported by post-doctoral scientists and PhD students. Prof George Spyrou, who is the head of the group, is an expert on computational methods that act as a bridge between systems biology and molecular medicine, exploiting high performance computational intelligence for systems bioinformatics and in silico drug discovery. The analytical input from bioinformatics is expected to play a critical role on the effectiveness of our Lab's targeted high-throughput drug screenings. |
