What is the Summer Internship Program;
Every summer, the Experimental Pharmacology Laboratory accepts students from various Faculties and Departments of different Universities, as Interns (trainees) of the Laboratory, for a specific period of time. During the program, each trainee receives training in various laboratory methods used in the Laboratory and participates / co-organizes specific research experiments based on the needs & schedule of the Laboratory.
Is there a cost for the participation in the Program? Is there a salary?
Participation in the program is free of charge and voluntary. There is no cost, there is no salary.
What do the Interns gain from participating? What are their responsibilties?
Interns gain significant laboratory research experience, they are trained free of charge in pharmacological research methods and have the opportunity to enrich their CV with a certificate of training. The Interns' work is voluntarily and their work is towards the objectives of the lab. They have the obligation to follow the rules & regulations of the Laboratory and follow the instructions of the Head of the Lab.
How long does the program last for?
The exact period of participation is decided between the intern and the Head of Lab upon consensus. Usually the period varies between 4 and 8 weeks.
Who can apply?
University students from any University, studying at Departments and Schools in a health science topic (Biological, pharmaceutical, medical or releted sciences). There is no pre-requisite for any laboratory experience in the methods used by the lab.

The Head of Lab will contact you by email within 2 days (if for any reason you won't receive an email, please send an email to email@example.com.) If your application is successful, there will be a short face-to-face or online meeting with the Head of Lab, where you'll discuss a number of details for your participation (duration, process, obligations, start date etc) as well as answering the questions you might have.
